A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available for grades 9-12 at a K-12 school located in Des Plaines, IL. This contract role spans the entire school year with working hours from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The position involves both push-in and pull-out instructional models, comprehensive lesson planning, and case management responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities: Deliver specialized instruction to high school students with diverse learning needs. Implement push-in and pull-out services to support student learning. Develop and maintain individualized lesson plans aligned with students' IEPs. Manage case files, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and monitor student progress. Engage with families and staff to ensure effective communication and student support. Qualifications: Active Illinois Special Education License (LBS1) required. Experience working with high school students (grades 9-12) preferred. Strong skills in lesson planning, classroom management, and case management. Ability to adapt instructional strategies to meet the unique needs of students. Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
