A full-time Special Education teaching opportunity is available in a self-contained Life Skills classroom serving high school students. This contract position spans the full academic year and is located in Spring Branch, TX.

Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) in compliance with special education laws and ARD procedures Manage classroom behavior and apply behavior intervention plans effectively Collaborate with paraprofessionals and related service providers to support student learning and development Maintain clear communication with students, families, and educational teams Provide a safe and structured learning environment tailored to students with diverse needs Qualifications: Bachelors degree from an accredited university Valid Texas Teaching Certificate in Special Education (EC-12) Thorough knowledge of special education laws, ARD process, and IEP implementation Experience or familiarity with Life Skills instructional programs Proven ability to manage challenging behaviors and apply intervention strategies Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills CPI or equivalent crisis intervention training is preferred This role requires dedication to fostering an inclusive and supportive educational environment for students with special needs. The ideal candidate demonstrates both expertise in Life Skills programming and a collaborative approach to working with educational teams.
