A respected elementary school in Minneapolis, MN is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to lead a center-based Emotional and Behavioral Disorders (EBD) classroom. Key Responsibilities: Develop and deliver specialized instructional strategies tailored to students with emotional and behavioral challenges Collaborate closely with paraprofessionals, school staff, and families to support student development and progress Monitor and document student performance, behavior, and social skills to inform instruction and interventions Participate in team meetings, including IEP planning and evaluations Foster a safe, respectful classroom environment conducive to learning Qualifications: Valid Special Education teaching certification Experience working with elementary-aged students in an EBD classroom or similar setting Strong classroom management skills and ability to work effectively with students exhibiting challenging behaviors Excellent communication and teamwork skills Commitment to student-centered instructional practices Benefits include competitive pay and full benefits, reflecting the schools commitment to its staffs wellbeing.
