The

Vice President

at LJA will be responsible for managing and directing corporate engineering for the company, with a focus on strategic planning, product design, quality assurance and problem resolution. The VP of engineering must execute product design to meet company objectives, collaborate with management, and develop systems and controls to ensure compliance with quality standards. Typical day / Responsibilities Build relationships and grow business in the land development sector. Develop business by marketing the company to existing clients and identifying new clients. Meet with cities, counties, and local agencies for business development purposes. Support technical efforts for business development such as responses to RFPs and SOQs, preparation for presentations, and coordinating the efforts of the office. Develop scope, budget, and schedule. Manage design team performance on assigned projects. Develop intermediate and long-range plans for systems operation, maintenance, and expansion to ensure adequate services to customers. Review and recommend payment for damage claims against the company to ensure the company position is consistent and legally defensible. Review major work orders and approve construction and operations budgets; prepare reports for and advise the President and Boards on activities of the department. Responsible for a volume of at least $310 million worth of business operations.

Required Education / Certifications

Bachelors Degree required

Required Qualifications

P.E. License 8+ years of managerial experience 8+ years of experience in land development engineering Proficiency in appropriate software for the market Excellent attention to detail and impeccable work ethic Excellent written and verbal communication skills
