Physician - Medical Director - Southeast Medical Home at Acclaim Physician Group, Inc. is a multi-specialty medical group practice comprising over 500 physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants that partner with JPS Health Network (JPS). The Medical Director provides leadership and administrative oversight of the day-to-day operations of their respective area, including APPs, schedule development, template management, daily clinical management, provider engagement, patient experience, and quality improvement. As the county health network and Level-1 Trauma Center, JPS has been serving the residents of Tarrant County for over 100 years. JPS is an urban teaching hospital with a history of training physicians and medical students and offers numerous residency and fellowship programs in partnership with local medical schools. Arkansas Lane, Arlington, Texas 76013, United States Responsibilities Assign clinical coverage to ensure timely access for patients in the ambulatory setting, in alignment with hospital and Acclaim expectations. Work in a dyad partnership with Practice Managers to improve efficiencies for care and performance in the clinics. Oversee the distribution of clinical work, template management, patient access and experience. Serve as liaison with physicians/providers as necessary to achieve high clinical standards of services and patient-centric care. Communicate requirements to achieve physician/provider integration into clinical activities. Communicate needs and progress toward continuous improvement of clinical activities.
People Performance
Communicate with Vice Chair and/or Chair needs or problems involving team dynamics or behaviors to achieve an efficient, consistent, and mutually respectful environment of care. Monitor for physicians/providers not meeting practice, quality, or behavioral standards and communicate with leadership. Participate in provider annual performance appraisals. Participate with leadership in searches for new or replacement positions within the Department in partnership with Acclaim recruiting.
Academic and Educational Activities
Support the education and professional development of medical students, residents, fellows, and other health care learners, providing mentoring either personally or through senior Departmental faculty.
Financial Performance and Growth Strategies
Partner with Vice Chair to develop and implement short- and long-term goals to expand clinical services. Estimate future personnel, equipment, procedural, and practice needs. Participate in strategic planning to develop practices that achieve objectives and address unfavorable performance variances. Grow the program through enhancing patient access and building strong relationships within the referral community.
Quality and Risk
Work with the Vice Chair to monitor metrics for patient and provider quality and satisfaction. Monitor compliance with directives of federal and state agencies affecting the clinic/department. Assist Vice Chair in communicating patient care policies, procedures, and standards in collaboration with Network personnel and Executive Leadership.
Community
Participate in Acclaim and JPS Health Network programs as requested in community education and public relations regarding services available in the clinic/clinical area.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications: Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy degree from an accredited medical college. Board Certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine and eligibility for licensure in Texas. Minimum of three (3) years of leadership experience in a hospital or health system of considerable size and complexity. Texas Medical License.
Preferred Education/Licensure/Certification and Experience: Leadership experience or potential is preferred.
