The

Clinic Medical Director

provides leadership and administrative oversight of the day-to-day operations, including schedule development, template management, clinical management, provider engagement, patient experience, and quality improvement. The Medical Director collaborates with physicians, the Vice Chair of the area, and Practice Manager, communicating about outpatient clinical activities, best practices, and protocols. The role fosters a culture of collaboration, respect, and continuous improvement among care teams. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Assign clinical coverage ensuring timely access for patients, aligned with hospital and Acclaim expectations. Work with Practice Managers to improve clinical efficiencies and performance. Oversee clinical work distribution, template management, and patient access. Serve as liaison with physicians/providers to ensure high standards of care and patient-centric services. Communicate needs for clinical integration and performance improvements. People Performance

Address team dynamics and behavioral issues with leadership. Monitor and address practice, quality, and behavioral standards among providers. Participate in provider performance appraisals and recruitment efforts. Academic and Educational Activities

Support education and professional development of learners, providing mentorship and guidance. Financial Performance and Growth Strategies

Collaborate on strategic planning to expand services and improve access. Estimate future resource needs and growth opportunities. Quality and Risk

Monitor quality metrics and compliance with regulations. Assist in communicating policies and standards to providers. Community Engagement

Participate in community education and outreach programs. Qualifications

Required:

MD or DO from an accredited institution, Board Certification in Family or Internal Medicine, Texas Medical License, at least 3 years of leadership experience in a large health system. Preferred:
