Responsibilities Help grow a collaborative and continuously improving engineering culture; teach and exemplify Scrum and agile values and principles; coach individuals (including senior leadership) and teams; facilitate Scrum Events as a Scrum Master or Release Train Engineer; take ownership for feature release coordination of KPMG Emerging Technology products Deliver effective conflict resolution between individuals and teams with an assertive but friendly attitude; provide effective methods for managing and resolving impediments Act as an expert in estimation and planning techniques; explain and teach release planning in an empirical environment; clarify differences between various Scrum Scaling frameworks and approaches Advocate for modern agile software development and organizational practices, such as XP, CI/CD, DevOps, TDD, and more; automate flow of project status and facilitate continuous real-time transparency for communication, support and decision making Coach individuals, teams, and programs to clarify goals, break anti-patterns and implement plans for stronger results; utilize agile techniques to improve development efficiency Provide scaling expertise to align multiple agile teams; facilitate planning with large groups; coach product owners on managing scaled product backlogs; mentor a product owner in backlog creation, management, and refinement; manage team interruptions and protect the team in a sprint; work beyond team boundaries to improve efficiency and value
Qualifications
Minimum five years of recent experience in multiple agile approaches (Scrum, Kanban, XP, SAFe, Lean, and more) with the ability to adapt approach to fit team and product environment Bachelor's degree preferred; relevant practitioner certifications (PSM II/CSP) preferred Deep expertise in helping teams build trust, safety, and effective communication Proven track record facilitating, coaching, and mentoring teams and leaders in agility and delivering high impact software sustainably Experience with full software development life cycle and advocating for modern agile practices; collaboration with non-agile teams; technical experience and portfolio-level planning or business experience preferred; experience with agile tools and scaling across multiple teams is a plus Excellent visualization skills; ability to explain and create visual indicators; strong system-level thinking and impact on program dynamics Strong verbal and written communication; ability to interact with all levels; ability to prioritize, delegate, foster high-performance teams, and work on multiple projects; capability to participate in resource planning Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship now or in the future
