Manager, Emerging Technology/AI Products Scrum Master/Release Manager
KPMG is seeking a Manager, Scrum Master/Release Manager to join our Digital Nexus technology organization. This is a hybrid work opportunity. This role focuses on coaching, coordinating, and enabling agile delivery across Emerging Technology products. Overview

Responsibilities Help grow a collaborative and continuously improving engineering culture; teach and model Scrum and agile values and principles; coach individuals and teams (including senior leadership); facilitate Scrum Events as a Scrum Master or Release Train Engineer; own feature release coordination of KPMG Emerging Technology products Deliver effective conflict resolution between individuals and teams with strong interpersonal skills; provide effective methods for managing and resolving impediments Act as an expert in estimation and planning techniques; explain and teach release planning in an empirical environment; clarify differences between Scrum scaling frameworks and approaches Advocate for modern agile software development and practices such as XP, CI/CD, DevOps, TDD; automate project status flow and facilitate continuous transparency for communication, support and decision making Coach and train individuals, teams, and programs to clarify goals, address anti-patterns, and implement plans to achieve stronger results; use various agile techniques to improve development efficiency Provide scaling expertise to align multiple agile teams, facilitate planning with large groups, coach product owners on backlog management for epics and features, and support decision making with product owners and architects; mentor a product owner in backlog creation and refinement; demonstrate techniques for managing interruptions and protecting the team in a sprint
Qualifications
Minimum five years of experience with multiple agile approaches (Scrum, Kanban, XP, SAFe, Lean, etc.) with the ability to adapt to fit the team and product environment Bachelor's degree preferred; practitioner certifications (PSM II/CSP) preferred Deep expertise in building trust, safety, and effective communication within teams Proven track record in facilitating, coaching, and mentoring teams and leaders in agility and delivering high-impact software sustainably Experience with full software development life cycle and advocating for modern agile practices; technical experience or portfolio-level planning is a plus Excellent visualization skills and the ability to explain and create visual radiators; strong system-level thinking Strong verbal and written communication; ability to interact with all levels, prioritize, delegate, and foster high-performance teams; strong troubleshooting and multi-project management skills Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship now or in the future
