About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic Executive Director for our SCSE Chapter. As a vital member of our team, you will be the face of our organization within the local community. Your primary responsibilities will include cultivating relationships with blood sponsors, leading fundraising initiatives, and managing a team of dedicated volunteer Community Volunteer Leaders. You will be instrumental in achieving our revenue and blood collection goals while enhancing community engagement.
In this role, you will also develop and oversee the local Board of Directors and cultivate relationships with organizations like United Way. Your ability to influence community and government stakeholders will be key to advancing our mission.
The ideal candidate will possess a four-year college degree in a related field, with preference given to those holding a Master's degree. A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience is required. Excellent communication, public speaking, and strategic fundraising skills are essential. We are looking for candidates with a demonstrated history of community engagement and a strong understanding of local issues and demographics. Experience in working with governmental stakeholders is a must.
You will thrive in a flexible environment and be adept at managing change. Proficiency in MS Office is required. This position may involve some regional travel and occasional national travel.
