This position is responsible for the overall management of the team and assigned projects to ensure compliance with budgetary, scheduling, and safety goals. Coordinates and manages construction work performed by contractors and/or vendors at the project site. Manages the engineering, procurement and construction oversight activities necessary to develop, license/permit, erect, start-up, and commence commercial operations. Job Duties & Responsibilities
Works collaboratively with resources in various disciplines to determine project priorities and work plans. Meets corporate objectives with limited project management, scheduling and estimating resources. Manages department resources to provide effective early-stage project development support. Ensures projects are efficiently, effectively and safely implemented in accordance with department procedures and policies. Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Hitachi Network Manager EMS applications and real-time databases. Manage SCADA/telemetry integration (RTUs, ICCP links) and ensure data quality for real-time operations. Support network model builds and maintenance, including topology processing and connectivity validation. Perform SE/CA/OPF tuning and validation to ensure system reliability and compliance. Develop and maintain operator displays and PSE (Power System Explorer) visualization tools. Execute system upgrades, patches, and failover testing in high-availability environments. Ensure compliance with NERC CIP and internal cybersecurity standards. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in engineering, Computer Science, or related field. 1+ years of experience with EMS platforms (Hitachi Network Manager EMS preferred; GE e-terra or Siemens Spectrum experience acceptable). Strong understanding of power system operations, SCADA, and EMS applications (SE, CA, OPF). Hands-on experience with network modeling, telemetry mapping, and database management. Familiarity with ICCP/TASE.2, RTU protocols (DNP3, IEC 60870-5), and EMS front-end processors. Knowledge of cybersecurity practices and compliance frameworks (e.g., NERC CIP). Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell, Python) for automation and bulk data management. Knowledge of process control commissioning and troubleshooting. Ability to understand electrical schematics and drawings. Review drawings packages and OEM specifications versus installed equipment to confirm it meets design and manufacturer standards. Ability to understand SCADA and communication schematics and drawings. Knowledge of automation protocols (Modbus, DNP3, CAN, OPC, EtherNet/IP and others). Third party firm management.
