Resource 1, Inc. is hiring: Business Analyst in Chicago

Direct candidates only – no third parties please. Resource 1 has an exclusive need for a Business Analyst for a long-term contract in downtown Chicago. The contract will start at 6 months with possible extensions through 2026. Individual must be local to Illinois and able to work onsite in downtown Chicago 2 days per week (close walk from either train station).

Responsibilities:

• Work as a BA on application development projects to modify and enhance both legacy and new applications built on D365, Power Apps, and Power Automate.
• Create Business Requirements Documents (BRD), user stories, release notes, and training materials.
• Work within a hybrid Agile environment with 3-week sprints, including daily standups, retrospectives, and backlog grooming sessions.
• Manage scope creep as needed.
• Assist with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) as needed.
• Communicate cross-functionally with key business stakeholders and development team members.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst.
• At least 1 year of experience with Agile Methodology, including facilitating relevant ceremonies.
• Experience with Jira or other similar tool.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
