A nationally recognized professional services firm is seeking a
Senior Office Administrator
to oversee daily operations in its
New York
office. This leadership role is ideal for a strategic professional with strong experience managing administrative operations in a
law firm
or similar
professional services environment . The Senior Office Administrator is responsible for ensuring smooth office operations while providing hands-on leadership in areas such as team management, facilities oversight, budgeting, human resources coordination, and vendor management. The position works closely with local leadership and collaborates across business support functions. Key Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day office operations, including administrative and support services. Supervise, mentor, and evaluate professional staff; oversee recruitment and onboarding processes. Conduct annual performance reviews and salary analysis in coordination with HR and leadership. Partner with internal departments including HR, Finance, IT, Business Development, and Facilities. Manage local budget, expenses, and vendor relationships; ensure compliance with firm policies. Coordinate office events, meetings, and operational logistics. Serve as a liaison between office leadership and firm-wide administrative teams. Ensure a high standard of service and professionalism across the office environment. Qualifications
Required: Minimum
7 years of progressive administrative management experience , preferably in legal, finance, or other professional services sectors. Proven success managing office operations, staff development, and cross-departmental coordination. Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. Experience handling sensitive personnel matters with discretion and professionalism. Solid understanding of operational functions including HR, finance, IT, and facilities. Ability to lead in a high-demand, deadline-driven environment. Preferred: Bachelors degree in
Business Administration ,
Human Resources ,
Management , or related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, CLM) are advantageous but not required. Familiarity with document management systems (e.g., NetDocuments) is a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat. Additional Information
Work Schedule:
Full-time, on-site, Monday to Friday. Work Environment:
Professional office setting. Travel:
Up to 10%, primarily for meetings and conferences. Occasional after-hours work
