Job Description

The General Production Worker will be responsible for packing products in one of three major classifications: Foam, Coatings Mills, or Coatings Reactors. The role includes labeling products before and after packaging, setting up the packaging area, and filling containers to specified weight and quality standards. This position requires proper package preparation and adherence to DOT hazardous material procedures.

Responsibilities

• Pack products in Foam, Coatings Mills, or Coatings Reactors classifications.
• Label products accurately before and after packaging.
• Set up packaging area for designated classifications.
• Fill containers to specified weight and quality standards.
• Label wash, leftover bulk, or non-conforming material properly.
• Prepare package by flushing contaminants with nitrogen.
• Ensure proper closure of containers using correct procedures.
• Follow DOT hazardous material procedures as trained.
• Operate manufacturing equipment with minimal supervision.
• Handle hazardous materials properly.
• Complete paperwork, such as batch tickets, accurately.
• Maintain production flow and process documentation.
• Identify and address variations in product quality.
• Understand and comply with all SOPs.
• Collaborate with QC to maintain packaging standards.
• Multitask effectively and perform miscellaneous tasks as assigned.
• Comply thoroughly with all safety processes and SOPs.

Essential Skills

• Experience in chemicals, compounding, mixing, blending.
• Ability to read and follow batch sheets, instructions, and tickets.
• Knowledge of GMP and SOPs.
• Experience with machine operation and assembly.
• 2+ years in a manufacturing environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with chemical or food manufacturing.
• Familiarity with GMPs.
• Must be willing to shave every other day.

Work Environment

The position operates in a manufacturing setting with large mixing equipment. The work hours are 3 pm to 1:30 am, Monday through Thursday on the 2nd shift. The dress code is casual, suitable for a physical role that involves regular lifting of 50-70 lbs buckets with lift assist.

Pay and Benefits
