A school-based Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) position is open for the 2025-2026 school year in Salinas, CA, serving a high school setting. This full-time, contract assignment runs for the full school year, Monday through Friday, and requires in-person work with students in grades K-12.

Key Responsibilities: Conduct speech, language, and auditory screenings and evaluations for students referred for special education. Provide consultative and advisory services to school staff regarding speech and language concerns. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to share assessment findings and contribute to educational planning. Maintain ongoing communication with school personnel, families, and healthcare providers about student progress. Assist staff in developing effective language programs tailored to classroom and community contexts. Minimum Qualifications: Active California Speech Language Pathologist License (SLP-CCC preferred). Experience in school-based speech-language pathology or related pediatric healthcare settings. Knowledge of special education processes, disability categories, and assessment procedures. Ability to build positive, professional relationships with students, families, and staff. Strong communication skills, including active listening and effective consultation.
