We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician for a 13-week contract position in Roanoke, VA, with the potential for contract-to-hire. This opportunity offers a consistent weekday schedule and the chance to work in a dynamic, fast-paced pharmacy setting.

Schedule : Monday Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
Location : Roanoke, VA
Start : ASAP or once cleared (approximately 1.52 weeks after offer)
Key Responsibilities: Process and fill prescriptions while handling insurance adjudications and resolving rejections.
Prepare, package, and label medications for pharmacist verification.
Conduct data entry, manage prescription paperwork, and communicate with patients and prescribers.
Maintain accurate inventory through daily cycle counts, restocking, and expiration date checks.
Support returns processing, medication quarantines, and destruction as needed.
Cross-train in various pharmacy functions to support overall departmental efficiency.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid, and all insurance-related regulations.
Qualifications: High School diploma or GED required
PTCB certification and Virginia pharmacy technician license in good standing
2+ years of pharmacy technician experience (call center experience is a plus)
Excellent multitasking, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment
