A Speech-Language Pathologist position is available for the upcoming school year, providing essential speech services focused on articulation primarily, within an elementary school setting serving students from pre-kindergarten through fifth grade. Key Responsibilities: Deliver school-based speech therapy services to students in grades PreK-5 Conduct evaluations and assess speech and language needs, with emphasis on articulation Communicate evaluation results effectively to parents, teachers, and school staff Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions Adapt therapy plans to meet the diverse individual needs of students Collaborate with educational teams to support student progress Qualifications and Experience: Speech-Language Pathology Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred ALSDE certification for SLP is highly desirable or appropriate clinical certification Completion of a cleared background check in accordance with ALSDE requirements Experience working with pediatric populations, especially in school or healthcare settings Ability to work confidently with a caseload of approximately preK - 5 students Strong communication skills for explaining evaluation results to varied audiences SLPA candidates may be considered under certain conditions; Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates welcome Position Details: Contract duration from August 11, 2025, to May 15, 2026 Approximately 32 hours per week, working 4 to 5 days weekly Assignment at a single PreK-5 elementary school campus in Valley, AL This role requires a knowledgeable and confident professional dedicated to fostering student development through specialized speech-language services.
