An opportunity is available for a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support students in an elementary school setting. This full-time, contract position offers a 37.5-hour work week, focusing on K-5 intensive inclusion classroom instruction.

Unlike a self-contained classroom, students spend significant time with the special educator and receive additional support from teaching assistants, enabling them to participate in general education classrooms as much as possible. This inclusive approach emphasizes collaboration and individualized attention. Key Responsibilities: Deliver specialized instruction and support to K-5 students in an intensive inclusion setting Collaborate with general education teachers and teaching assistants to facilitate student inclusion and success Provide individualized academic interventions and behavioral support tailored to each students needs Monitor and track student progress, implementing data-driven strategies Communicate regularly with parents, guardians, and school staff regarding student development and goals Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with special education guidelines and policies Qualifications: Valid teaching certification in Special Education Experience working with elementary-aged students (K-5) in inclusive or resource settings Strong understanding of academic and behavioral intervention strategies Excellent collaboration and communication skills Ability to adapt instruction to meet diverse student needs Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment Location: North Scituate, Rhode Island This is a Contract role for the current school year, offering a meaningful chance to make a positive impact on students educational experiences.
