Approximately 3.1 hours per week, distributed as 40 minutes Monday through Thursday and 30 minutes on Friday (total 190 minutes weekly) Role:
Provide specialized education and communication support tailored to the needs of two students with hearing impairments in a K-12 school setting Key Responsibilities: Deliver individualized instruction and interventions for DHH students to support their academic progress and communication skills Collaborate with classroom teachers, specialists, and families to develop and implement appropriate accommodations and modifications Monitor and document student growth, adapting strategies as needed to meet student needs Assist in the use of assistive technology and communication devices that enhance learning for DHH students Maintain compliance with all applicable educational standards and individualized education program (IEP) requirements Desired Qualifications and Experience: Certification or licensure in Deaf and Hard of Hearing education or related special education fields Experience working with K-12 students who have hearing impairments Skilled in voice, visual, and sign communication methods appropriate to student needs Strong collaborative and communication skills with both students and educational teams This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a focused part-time position within a supportive educational environment.
