A part-time teaching position is available for a skilled educator specializing in Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) students, serving two students in a K-12 setting. This contract role focuses on providing focused, individualized support to enhance student learning and communication within the school environment.

Key Responsibilities: Deliver specialized instruction and services tailored to the needs of two Deaf/Hard of Hearing students. Provide approximately 190 minutes of support weekly, distributed as 40 minutes Monday through Thursday and 30 minutes on Friday. Collaborate with classroom teachers and staff to ensure the students educational needs are met effectively. Monitor student progress and adapt instructional strategies to promote engagement and success. Maintain accurate records and communicate regularly with school personnel and families. Preferred Qualifications: Certification in teaching students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing. Experience working with K-12 students in educational settings. Strong understanding of communication methods appropriate for Deaf/Hard of Hearing learners. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Location: Position is based in Peru, Illinois.
