A Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) position is available for the 2025-2026 school year in Fall River Mills, CA at an elementary school setting. This role involves supporting intervention services for students from PreK through 6th grade, under the direct supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist. The position is contract-based for the school year, starting August 18th and ending June 5th, with a Monday through Friday schedule, working in-person.

Key Responsibilities: Implement individualized speech-language intervention plans developed by the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist. Assist with assessments by obtaining case histories, administering and scoring tests, and preparing documentation such as evaluations, IEPs, and progress reports. Collaborate with therapists, teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student goals. Attend meetings including IEP conferences and parent meetings to provide updates on student progress. Transport students to and from therapy or testing areas as needed. Perform additional duties assigned to support the speech-language program. Qualifications and Experience: Active Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant license required. Bachelors degree in Speech, Language and Hearing or Communication Disorders. Prior experience as a paraprofessional or working in a school setting preferred. Training or experience in language and articulation therapy is advantageous. Strong communication skills with the ability to actively listen and engage in two-way communication. Demonstrated ability to maintain a positive, collaborative, and adaptable approach. Commitment to learning and applying new techniques and strategies.
