Responsibilities: Deliver specialized instruction and support to Deaf and Hard of Hearing students across grades K-12 Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs Collaborate with classroom teachers, specialists, and families to ensure effective communication and accommodations Utilize appropriate assistive technologies and communication methods, including sign language Monitor student progress and adjust instruction as necessary Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and related school activities Qualifications: Valid teaching certification or licensure in Deaf / Hard of Hearing education Experience working with Deaf and Hard of Hearing students in K-12 settings Knowledge of communication methods such as American Sign Language (ASL) or other relevant systems Ability to develop and implement IEPs and instructional plans Strong communication and collaboration skills Location: Elgin, Illinois This contract opportunity provides a chance to make a significant impact on students educational experiences in a supportive school environment.
