Responsibilities: Deliver tailored instruction to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing across grades K-12. Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) aligned with student needs and curriculum standards. Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to optimize student learning outcomes. Utilize specialized teaching methods, technology, and communication strategies including sign language, auditory training, and speech therapy support. Monitor student progress, maintaining accurate records and reporting to administration and parents. Promote an inclusive and supportive classroom atmosphere that respects the unique experiences of Deaf and Hard of Hearing students. Qualifications: Valid teaching certification with endorsement or specialization in Deaf / Hard of Hearing education. Experience working with Deaf and Hard of Hearing students in K-12 settings. Proficiency in relevant communication methods such as American Sign Language (ASL). Strong understanding of IEP processes and special education regulations. Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills. Location: Aurora, Colorado Position type: Contract for the current school year (CSY) This role provides an important opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students educational journeys.
