A full-semester contract position is available for a Special Education Teacher focused on K-2 students for the 2025-2026 school year. This opportunity is based in an elementary school setting in Barre, VT. The caseload will consist of 15-20 students requiring specialized support and tailored instructional strategies.

Experience working with early elementary students in special education settings is essential to meet the developmental and academic needs of this age group effectively. Key Responsibilities: Deliver individualized and small group instruction to K-2 students with diverse learning needs Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with families and multidisciplinary teams Utilize evidence-based teaching methods to support academic, social, and behavioral growth Maintain accurate records and progress reports in alignment with state and school guidelines Collaborate closely with general education teachers and support staff to promote inclusion and student success Qualifications: VT AOE Special Education license required Experience serving a caseload of 15-20 students within K-2 grade levels Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with families and colleagues Ability to adapt instructional approaches to meet individual student needs This is an immediate hiring need with interviews being conducted as soon as possible.
