Occupational Therapist Part-Time Leave Contract (High School Setting)

Location: Edison, NJ A specialized opportunity is available for an Occupational Therapist or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) experienced in pediatric care to provide services in a high school environment. This part-time contract position focuses on supporting students aged 14-21 with diverse therapeutic needs. Key Responsibilities: Deliver occupational therapy services to a caseload of approximately 7 students. Collaborate with educational staff to develop and implement individualized intervention plans. Monitor student progress and adjust therapy goals as needed. Utilize pediatric expertise to enhance functional outcomes in educational settings. Provide therapy sessions from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, totaling 12 hours per week. Qualifications: Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA). Experience working with pediatric populations, preferably in school or home health settings. Ability to manage caseloads effectively within a school environment. Proficient in designing and executing therapeutic interventions for adolescents and young adults. Strong communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with educators and families. Preferred Experience: COTA with pediatric experience is encouraged to apply. Familiarity with school-based occupational therapy regulations and documentation.
