Key Responsibilities: Deliver skilled occupational therapy services aligned with students Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in a school environment. Collaborate with educators and support staff to implement interventions that promote functional independence and participation for students. Utilize pediatric experience to tailor therapy approaches effectively. Monitor and document student progress regularly. Coordinate care and communication with parents and multidisciplinary team members. Supervise and collaborate with a COTA as appropriate to the setting and caseload. Qualifications and Experience: Valid state licensure or certification as an Occupational Therapist or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant. Experience in pediatric occupational therapy within school or healthcare settings. Ability to use a COTA with pediatric experience to support caseload management. Strong communication and interpersonal skills suited for working with adolescents. Familiarity with school-based therapy protocols and documentation standards. Position Details: Location: Newark, NJ. Setting: High School-based therapy. Schedule: Part-time, 12 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Caseload: 7 students, ages 14-21. Contract duration: Leave coverage. This position offers a focused opportunity to provide occupational therapy to high school students in a structured educational environment.
