An opportunity is available for a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support students from kindergarten through 12th grade in a dynamic K-12 school environment in Providence, RI. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students unique learning requirements. Collaborate closely with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to foster an inclusive educational experience. Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies and assistive technologies to promote student engagement and achievement. Monitor and document student progress, adjusting instructional approaches accordingly. Support behavioral management and social-emotional development within the classroom setting. Participate actively in multidisciplinary team meetings, ensuring compliance with state and federal special education regulations. Desired Qualifications: Valid teaching certification in Special Education. Experience teaching students across multiple grade levels (K-12). Strong knowledge of IDEA (Individuals with Disabilities Education Act) and IEP development. Effective communication and teamwork skills. Patience, creativity, and commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment.
