A full-semester contract opportunity is available for a skilled Sign Language Interpreter to support K-12 students in a dynamic school environment in Aurora, CO. This role is essential in facilitating clear and effective communication for students who are deaf or hard of hearing, ensuring equal access to the curriculum and participation in all school activities.

Key Responsibilities: Interpret spoken language into American Sign Language (ASL) and vice versa during classroom instruction and school events. Collaborate with teachers and staff to adapt communication methods that meet students individual needs. Assist in creating an inclusive learning environment by supporting the communication needs of deaf and hard of hearing students. Maintain confidentiality and professionalism while working with students, faculty, and families. Attend relevant meetings, training sessions, and IEP discussions as required. Desired Qualifications: Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) with demonstrated interpreting experience in educational settings. Understanding of K-12 curriculum and ability to interpret diverse subject matter. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Previous experience working with children or young adults preferred. Ability to work full semester under a contract arrangement. Location: Position is based in Aurora, Colorado, serving a K-12 school district.
