A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available to support students from kindergarten through 12th grade in a K-12 school setting located in Joliet, IL. This onsite, non-virtual role requires a professional dedicated to delivering comprehensive speech and language therapy services throughout the school year. The opportunity is for a contract duration with an immediate start.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of speech, language, and communication disorders for K-12 students.
Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to the specific needs of each student.
Collaborate effectively with educators, parents, and related service providers to ensure holistic support for student progress.
Conduct screenings and assessments to monitor student development and adjust therapy plans accordingly.
Document and maintain accurate records of therapy sessions and student progress.
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to educational planning.
Qualifications:
Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology.
Licensed or eligible to work as an SLP in a school healthcare setting.
Experience working with pediatric populations within schools.
Familiarity with teletherapy techniques is beneficial, but this role requires onsite presence.
Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) preferred or completed.
Effective communication and teamwork skills to engage with students, families, and educational staff.
