A school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is sought for an in-person contract position at an elementary school serving students from Pre-K through 6th grade. This opportunity involves working with children who have mild to moderate disabilities, providing essential speech and language support to approximately 40-50 students on your caseload. The role spans the entire school year, offering consistent engagement in a dynamic educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct speech and language evaluations and assessments for students with mild to moderate disabilities
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each students communication needs
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress and inclusion
Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of therapy sessions and progress reports
Participate in IEP meetings and provide recommendations aligned with student goals
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology
Experience working with pediatric populations, particularly in school settings
Strong knowledge of speech and language development and therapy techniques for mild to moderate disabilities
Ability to manage a caseload of 40-50 students efficiently
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
