A full-time, in-person speech-language therapy opportunity is available for a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Clinical Fellow Year (CFY) professional in Upper Marlboro, MD. This contract position offers a 35-hour workweek starting February 2nd, serving students from kindergarten through 12th grade.
The full job description covers all associated skills, previous experience, and any qualifications that applicants are expected to have. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver individualized speech-language therapy addressing assistive technology, augmentative communication, social language skills, articulation, voice, oral-motor function, feeding, and both receptive and expressive language delays. Conduct diagnostic and evaluation testing to assess students communication and swallowing needs. Prepare thorough, clear, and insightful reports following student assessments and observations. Provide services to students ages 2 to 22 with moderate to severe disabilities in an educational setting. Develop, update, and maintain Individualized Education Program (IEP) objectives tailored to student goals. Collaborate with parents, educators, and allied professionals to communicate student progress and strategies for support. Qualifications and Experience: Current SLP certification (CCC or School) or CFY status. Ability and willingness to work full-time on-site. Experience with K-12 student populations, including those with moderate to severe disabilities. Strong assessment, reporting, and communication skills. Collaborative approach to working with families and school teams.
