Caseload:
~55 high school students across 4 classes
Many students reading at
1st4th grade levels
Preference: experience with deaf/hard-of-hearing students; special needs a strong plus
Pay:
$3038/hour (based on experience) Schedule:
20252026 academic year contract position Benefits:
Health, dental, vision insurance; 401(k); weekly pay Responsibilities
Teach HS-level Math (Algebra, Personal Finance, etc.) to students with low reading levels.
Plan lessons and adapt materials across reading levels (1st4th grade).
Incorporate ASL when full-time; or oversee interpreter for part-time.
Monitor student progress; adjust instruction accordingly.
Collaborate with special education staff, paraeducators, and related providers.
Requirements
Comfortable working with deaf or hard-of-hearing high school students.
Experience with special needs populations (beneficial).
Flexibility in ASL capability: full-time requires ASL; part-time without.
