Location: Vallejo, CA Position Details: Full-time (1.0 FTE) Permanent position (Contract to Hire) Full school year (2025-2026) Grades 1-2 Mild to Moderate Special Education required Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to students' specific needs. Deliver specialized instruction to students with mild to moderate disabilities. Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student success. Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly. Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes social and academic growth. Qualifications: Valid Special Education teaching credential with authorization for Mild/Moderate disabilities. Experience teaching students in grades 1-2 with mild to moderate special needs. Strong understanding of individualized instruction and behavior management strategies. Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. Excellent communication and organizational skills. This opportunity offers a stable, long-term teaching assignment with a focus on meaningful student impact.
