Position Type: Full-time, 1.0 FTE Contract: Permanent (Contract to Hire) Duration: Full School Year (2025-2026) Grade Levels: 1st and 2nd Grade Specialization: Mild/Moderate Special Education Responsibilities include: Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students with mild to moderate special needs Delivering differentiated instruction to promote academic and social growth Collaborating with general education teachers, support staff, and families to support student success Monitoring and assessing student progress and adjusting strategies as necessary Maintaining accurate records in compliance with school and district policies Desired qualifications: Valid Special Education teaching credential with authorization for mild/moderate disabilities Experience working with elementary-aged students in a special education setting Strong understanding of special education laws and best practices Ability to create a positive, inclusive classroom environment Excellent communication and teamwork skills This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young learners lives while working in a supportive elementary school environment.
