A school social worker is needed to support K-12 students within a school setting in Troy, MI. This contract position spans the current school year and involves collaborating with educators, families, and community resources to promote student well-being and academic success.

Key Responsibilities: Provide counseling and intervention services to students facing social, emotional, or behavioral challenges. Conduct assessments to identify student needs and develop appropriate support plans. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to address student issues and foster a positive learning environment. Connect families with community resources and services to support student welfare. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to individualized education plans (IEPs) when applicable. Maintain accurate case records and documentation to ensure compliance with school and legal requirements. Qualifications and Experience: Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program. Current licensure or certification as a Social Worker, appropriate for school settings. Prior experience working with children and adolescents in educational environments preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, families, and school staff. Knowledge of community resources and referral processes. Ability to manage caseload efficiently while maintaining confidentiality and professional standards.
