A Michigan-based position for a licensed School Social Worker is open to provide critical support within a K-12 educational environment in Flushing, MI. Key Responsibilities: Deliver direct social work services tailored to students needs as outlined in IEPs or individual support plans. Conduct thorough assessments to identify social, emotional, and environmental barriers to learning. Actively participate as a member of the multidisciplinary evaluation team. Collaborate with educators, administrators, and service providers to foster a supportive school atmosphere. Implement evidence-based strategies, including Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS). Provide crisis intervention, counseling, and connect families to community resources. Facilitate effective family-school communication and engagement. Ensure accurate and timely documentation compliant with all state and district regulations. Qualifications: Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from a CSWE-accredited program. Valid Michigan Limited Licensed Master Social Worker (LLMSW) or Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) credential issued by LARA. Completion of or current enrollment in an MDE-approved School Social Worker program. Eligibility for Michigan Department of Education School Social Worker Certificate (Preliminary or Professional). Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. Prior experience supporting children, adolescents, and families in an educational setting is preferred.
