A dynamic opportunity is available for a Michigan-licensed Social Worker specializing in educational settings, serving K-12 students in Midland, MI. This role is a contract position for the current school year (CSY), focused on delivering impactful social work services within a school environment.

Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate social, emotional, and environmental factors influencing student learning. Participate as an integral member of the multidisciplinary evaluation team. Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and related service providers to foster student achievement. Implement evidence-based interventions including Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS). Provide crisis intervention, counseling, and coordinate referrals to community resources. Facilitate effective family-school communication and enhance family engagement. Maintain accurate documentation and reports in compliance with state and district policies. Qualifications: Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from a CSWE-accredited institution. Active Michigan Limited Licensed Master Social Worker (LLMSW) or Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) credential issued by LARA. Completion or current enrollment in a Michigan Department of Education (MDE)-approved School Social Worker program. Eligibility for a Michigan MDE School Social Worker Certificate (Preliminary or Professional). Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. Experience with children, adolescents, and families in educational contexts is preferred.
