Overview

Job Description: This is such as a tool room attendant at a client site. Interviews will take place on site; remind invitees that signage will be Howmet signage rather than other signage. Location: Howmet 1110 E Lincolnway-3185. This is a 2nd shift role (4:30 PM to 12:30 AM) but training will be on 1st shift (7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, flexible during training for 1 week) before moving to 2nd shift. Need this role filled ASAP.

Responsibilities

• Receiving items
• Stocking shelves and docking work
• Assisting customers
• Cycle counting
• Greet customers at the door, answer questions, fulfill customer needs, and put away inventory
• Enter inventory into the computer and perform cycle counts
• Maintain reliability, punctuality, and the ability to work independently
• Physical tasks including lifting up to 125 lbs with team lifting
• Use equipment like pallet jacks; this is a customer-facing position, not a back-only warehouse role

Must haves

• 6 months warehouse experience
• Customer service background helpful
• Computer experience in Excel and Word helpful
• Approximately 20% of the shift is receiving items into the computer inventory system
• Receiving experience
• Ability to work well on their own and can be a leader

Qualifications

• A background in Warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, delivery, and inventory is preferred
• MRO product knowledge or the ability to quickly learn it
• Ability to perform physical tasks, lifting, bending, twisting and pulling for a full 8-hour shift
• Use of pallet jacks or walk-behind lifts

Job duties

• Pull and prepare orders for shipment
• Receive, verify, stage and stock all incoming material
• Ensure the warehouse is clean, organized, secure and safe at all times
• Job duties may or may not align with Receiving Associate or Receiving Clerk roles
