Overview

Job Description: Tool room attendant at a client site. Interviews will take place at this location; remind interview recipients that they would not be looking for signage but Howmet signage.

Responsibilities

• Receive items, stock shelves, assist customers, cycle counting, and dock work.
• Perform physical tasks including lifting up to 125 lbs with team lifting and using equipment like pallet jacks.
• Serve as a customer-facing representative: greet customers, answer questions, fulfill customer needs, and put away inventory; file paperwork.
• Enter inventory into the computer and conduct cycle counts.
• Demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and the ability to work independently.

Must haves

• 6 months warehouse experience
• Customer service background helpful
• Computer experience in Excel and Word (helpful)
• Approximately 20% of the shift is receiving items into the computer inventory system
• Receiving experience
• Ability to work well on their own and can be a leader

Qualifications

• Background in warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, delivery, and inventory is preferred
• MRO product knowledge or the ability to quickly learn it
• Ability to stand for a full 8-hour shift, including lifting, bending, twisting and pulling
• Use of pallet jacks or walk-behind lifts

Job duties

• Pull and prepare orders for shipment
• Receive, verify, stage and stock all incoming material
• Ensure the warehouse is clean, organized, secure and safe at all times
