A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available at an elementary school serving students from pre-kindergarten through 5th grade. This contract role spans a full school year, offering approximately 37.5 hours per week with a consistent daily schedule from 7:30 AM to 2:45 PM. The position is based in Ashland, VA, with a caseload of around 40 to 50 students.

Key Responsibilities: Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in children aged PK-5 Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each students needs Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support student progress Maintain accurate records and documentation of therapy sessions and student outcomes Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings as needed Qualifications and Experience: Current state license or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist Experience working with pediatric populations, preferably in an educational setting Skills in working with diverse caseloads including speech, language, and communication disorders in young children Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with school staff and families Ability to manage a caseload of mid-40s students while maintaining quality of care Position Details: Location: Ashland, VA Contract Duration: August 18, 2025 May 26, 2026 Hours per Week: 37.5 Daily Schedule: 7:30 AM 2:45 PM Caseload: Mid-40s Pay Rate: $50-$60 per hour This opportunity allows an experienced SLP to support early childhood development in a structured school environment.
