Employment Type: Direct Hire, Full-Time Position Duration: Immediate start through the end of the 2024-2025 school year Caseload: Kindergarten and 1st grade students in an SDC classroom Responsibilities include: Providing tailored instruction and support to K-1 students within the SDC Developing, implementing, and monitoring Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Adapting curriculum and teaching strategies to meet diverse student needs Collaborating closely with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and other school personnel Supporting academic, social, and emotional growth of students Ensuring compliance with state and federal special education laws Qualifications: Active Special Education teaching credential valid in California Experience working in an SDC or similar setting preferred Strong classroom management and effective communication skills Ability to work collaboratively with students, families, and school teams This position offers a chance to shape the educational journey of young learners with special needs.
