This position seeks a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support K-12 students in a contract role for the current school year (CSY). The opportunity is located in Macomb, MI, within a dynamic educational setting focused on delivering tailored support to students with diverse learning needs.

Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. Provide specialized instruction that addresses students' academic, social, and behavioral goals. Monitor and document student progress; adjust teaching strategies accordingly. Collaborate with classroom teachers, paraprofessionals, and support staff (including three paraprofessionals assigned to the classroom). Maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for all students. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student development and program updates. Desired Qualifications and Experience: Valid teaching certification in Special Education. Experience working with K-12 students in diverse educational settings. Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices. Ability to work collaboratively with paraeducators and multidisciplinary teams. Excellent communication and organizational skills.
