A K-12 institution located in Lowell, MA, is seeking a full-time Special Education Teacher to support self-contained classrooms serving students with moderate to severe disabilities. This contract position spans the full school year (NSY) and offers a structured bell schedule from 7:30 AM to 2:30 PM, with dedicated prep time from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM.

Qualifications and Desired Experience: Certification in Massachusetts for Moderate or Severe Special Education Experience working with behavior management and intervention strategies Proven ability to teach and support students from PreK-4 through grades 6-8 Strong skills in developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) Effective communication and collaboration skills with families and multidisciplinary teams Location: Lowell, Massachusetts K-12 School Serving Diverse Student Populations Responsibilities: Deliver tailored instruction within a self-contained classroom setting for students with moderate to severe special needs Manage classroom behavior and implement effective behavioral strategies to support student growth Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and other professionals to develop and review IEPs Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with educational guidelines Participate in team meetings, professional development, and school initiatives as required Benefits and Perks: Full-time hours totaling 37.5 per week Consistent daily schedule with afternoon prep time Opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students educational journeys within a supportive learning environment Interested candidates with the appropriate Massachusetts certification and behavioral experience are encouraged to apply to contribute to a dedicated special education team.
