We are seeking a licensed and passionate
Remote Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
to provide
virtual therapy services
to K12 students in New Mexico . The ideal candidate will have experience in school settings, proficiency with teletherapy platforms, and a strong commitment to helping students improve their communication skills to support academic and social success. Key Responsibilities:
Deliver virtual speech and language therapy aligned with students
Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) .
Conduct assessments and evaluations using digital tools to identify speech and language disorders.
Develop measurable, student-specific IEP goals and implement individualized therapy plans.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services, progress reports, and evaluations in compliance with
New Mexico Public Education Department (NMPED)
and
IDEA
standards.
Collaborate with teachers, families, special education teams, and related service providers in a remote environment.
Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary evaluations and planning.
Offer training and support to caregivers and school staff to help reinforce therapy goals.
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to
FERPA
and
HIPAA
regulations in a virtual setting.
Qualifications:
Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
Current, valid
New Mexico SLP license
issued by the
New Mexico Regulation and Licensing Department (Board of Speech-Language Pathology, Audiology, and Hearing Aid Dispensing Practitioners) .
Certificate of Clinical Competence ( CCC-SLP ) from the
American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) .
Minimum of 1 year of school-based experience (can include clinical fellowship).
Experience with teletherapy platforms and online service delivery.
Strong communication, organization, and digital literacy skills.
Reliable internet connection and appropriate remote work environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience using IEP platforms such as
PowerSchool ,
Frontline , or
SEMS .
Bilingual in Spanish and English (preferred but not required).
Familiarity with diverse student populations, including AAC users, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
