A skilled Special Education Teacher is needed for a K-12 school located in Worcester, MA, to support students with diverse learning needs. This contract position, lasting through the current school year (CSY), offers an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact in an educational setting that emphasizes inclusive learning.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to meet the needs of students with disabilities.
Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to create a supportive learning environment.
Use various instructional strategies to address the academic, social, and behavioral needs of students.
Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods as necessary to ensure educational goals are met.
Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with state and federal special education regulations.
Qualifications and Skills:
Valid Special Education teaching certification appropriate for K-12 education.
Experience working with a wide range of disabilities and skill levels.
Ability to design and implement IEPs and adapt curriculum as needed.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Commitment to fostering inclusion and promoting positive student outcomes.
