A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available to support K-12 students in a vibrant educational setting located in Mechanicsville, MD. This contract position spans the normal school year (NSY) and offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on students' communication development within a dynamic school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive speech-language therapy services to K-12 students with a variety of communication disorders.
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
Conduct assessments, evaluate student progress, and maintain accurate documentation in compliance with state and federal guidelines.
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to support student success and continuous improvement of speech services.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) from ASHA.
Current licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the school setting.
Experience working with diverse K-12 populations, including assessment and treatment planning.
Strong communication and organizational skills to effectively manage caseload and documentation.
