The Senior Communications Manager for Athletes & Teams plays a vital role in shaping the narrative around Red Bull's athletes and teams. This position is designed for a proactive leader who can elevate brand image and consumer engagement through compelling, authentic content linked to our athlete marketing initiatives.
Your mission is to enhance the visibility and connection of Red Bull athletes and teams with young, diverse consumers across the U.S. by spearheading comprehensive communications campaigns.
Key Responsibilities:
Translate athlete marketing initiatives into relevant media products and identify continual content opportunities in close collaboration with the Athlete Marketing Department.
Develop innovative story angles for existing projects, thereby creating unique content across various sports that captivates and engages audiences.
Build and nurture relationships with key media partners and creators to bring athlete and team stories closer to consumers.
Work directly with athletes to provide media training, storytelling guidance, and content creation support, helping them expand their personal brand and audience reach.
Conceptualize and implement a comprehensive Media Network strategy for showcasing athletes and teams.
Drive media innovation and produce differentiated content across various channels, enhancing the brand's influence and reach.
Identify and cultivate impactful moments with athletes that resonate nationally.
Uplift the quality of communication, programming, and content distribution to maximize earned media results.
Act as the main point of contact for local markets concerning athlete/team communications, fostering collaboration to enhance media and content skills.
Deliver extraordinary experiences that only Red Bull can provide, inspiring conversations about the brand and products.
Qualifications:
7+ years of experience in media-rich environments such as sports, athlete relations, or entertainment industries.
Strong understanding of the media landscape, including consumption habits and trends within the sports and entertainment sectors.
Proven storytelling skills and knowledge of digital, social, and television content creation.
Experience collaborating directly with athletes in roles related to PR, marketing, or management.
Familiarity with audience analytics and development, with a strategic approach to data utilization.
Excellent presentation, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
A collaborative team player who thrives in a matrixed organization and is a confident problem-solver.
A genuine passion for sports.
This position is open to U.S. citizens, permanent residents, or individuals authorized to work in the United States on a valid visa.
The base salary range for this role is $115,280 - $172,920, plus cash incentives, with actual offers varying based on experience.
