Hexagon's Asset Lifecycle Intelligence division
(Hexagon) is seeking a
Software Lead
to join our team in the United States. Provide design leadership for the assigned project. Acquire and apply deep knowledge of use cases for the project. Actively contribute to software development design and coding standards. Define and recommend process improvements that impact the entire software project, foreseeing the impact of changes and working with others to react to and minimize that impact. Work with subject matter experts to ensure team designs align with the standards and patterns of the product. Ensure all completed work follows best practices and engineering standards. Use professional, effective communication skills to work closely with cross-functional team members, product owners, and other product stakeholders to develop applications that meet customer needs. Education / Qualifications
Minimum of 12 years of professional experience in software development. Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (preferred). SaaS/Web and on-premises development experience. Proficiency in .NET and REST API development. Strong knowledge of relational databases. Expertise in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. Experience with Kubernetes and containerization technologies. Familiarity with Agile development processes. Proven ability to design software systems and subsystems. Demonstrated ability to mentor and guide team members. Background in software product development. Preference will be given to candidates located in the Roanoke, VA area. Some Knowledge Of or Willingness to Learn: Frontend frameworks like Vue and Vuetify. Graph databases. 2D/3D visualization libraries.
