Position Summary

The

Nurse Manager

of Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) will have the responsibility of working alongside current practice administrator to ensure the staff is complicit with the various surgical procedures, regulations, and safety practices. This role involves managing nursing staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care, maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations, and supporting the overall strategic goals of the organization. The Nurse Manager will be a key leader in fostering a culture of safety, collaboration, and excellence in patient care.

Key Responsibilities

Demonstrates clinical knowledge of an ASC and can perform all nursing duties in accordance to the State of Georgia law requirements Participates in the hiring process and is responsible for development, evaluation and ongoing management of assigned direct reports Supports the delivery of quality patient care by holding staff accountable to established patient care and regulatory standards according to AAAHC guidelines Interprets policies and procedure to nursing staff and patients/families Makes changes in clinical assignments based on patient care needs and demonstrated staff competencies Pursue continuous learning to gain additional knowledge in area of clinical specialty Exercises problem solving skills to optimize patient flow while maintaining quality patient care Supports current Nurse Manager with administrative responsibilities and surveying requirements Proactive in compliance and state survey regulations Understands established budget and adjusts resource utilization to minimize variances with Nurse Manager Other assigned tasks and responsibilities as required by law and/or administration/physicians

MUST HAVE:

At least 5+ years of progressive management experience in a surgical setting

Experience as a nurse in one of the following areas: OR, pre-op, PACU

Requirements

Scrubbing/circulating experience a plus

Qualifications

Certified Registered Nurse licensure in state of Georgia CNOR preferred 5 years nursing experience required, Operating Room experience preferred Management and / or supervisory experience required BLS, ACLS, PALS certification required Excellent organizational and interpersonal communication skills Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities with ease Ability to read, analyze and interpret general technical procedures, or governmental regulations Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals Ability to work effectively present information and respond to questions from governing board and physicians Proficient in Microsoft office, specifically Word and Excel
