Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking an experienced senior-level Software Engineer to join our team in the Payload and Ground Systems Division Engineering organization supporting the Integrated National Systems (INS) Business Unit (BU) to support a Ground program. The program is seeking a Software Engineer to support the Processing Team in development of tasking and scheduling software. The successful candidate will be on an Agile team supporting two programs with a singular baseline. Will be working in the office executing 2-week Sprints for 3-month increment deliveries. As a Software Engineer, you will design, develop, document, refactor, test, and debug applications software for a Ground Segment. Ultimately, you will support the program through maturity and milestones to achieve the mission. Development is done within the Agile paradigm using the Atlassian tool suite. The work is full-time in the office. The qualified candidate must have and be able to maintain a DoD clearance. The successful candidate will have Software development experience, with the ability to digest changes and synthesize them into working designs, generate efficient code according to the specifications, and adapt to changes as necessary that are driven by bugs or specification updates or the customer. The candidate is expected to operate independently with little oversight in a dynamic environment, and to be highly self-motivated, reporting information to leads and the customer. The individual is expected to handle diverse assignments with efficiency, finding unique solutions and working in a very collaborative and fast-paced environment that continues to grow. Morrisville, North Carolina, Fairfax, Virginia, or Linthicum, Maryland . (compensation varies within range depending on location) This position requires being onsite and does not support remote or hybrid work. Responsibilities Support design, development, documentation, refactoring, testing, and debugging of Ground Segment software. Work on an Agile team with two programs on a single baseline, delivering in 2-week sprints for 3-month increments. Operate in an office environment and maintain DoD clearance. Collaborate with leads and the customer to handle changes and synthesize them into working designs.

Basic Qualifications

Must have an active/current U.S. Government DoD Top Secret clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information access (TS/SCI) at the time of application. US Citizenship required. Minimum years of experience to be considered: 12 years of relevant software engineering experience with a bachelors degree 10 years with a masters degree 8 years with a PhD 14 years with an associates degree 16 years of relevant software engineering experience in lieu of a degree (High School diploma or equivalent required)

Must have above-minimum experience in:

Front-end GUI design and implementation Strong Java experience Web frameworks: React, Vue Working with a geographically distributed team

Preferred Qualifications

STEM degree Proficient with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket) Proficient with Node.js framework Familiar with Keycloak Agile development methodologies Software design and software unit testing Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, microservice architecture, and object-oriented design Understanding of software testing principles and methodologies

Primary Level Salary Range: $155,400.00 - $256,400.00. This range represents a general guideline; base salary offers consider scope, responsibilities, experience, education, skills, and market conditions.
