Key Responsibilities: Deliver specialized instruction tailored to the needs of students who are deaf or hard of hearing across K-12 grade levels. Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers, specialists, and families. Utilize assistive technology and communication strategies to enhance student learning and engagement. Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods to ensure effective learning outcomes. Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes confidence and independence. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to address the educational and social needs of DHH students. Qualifications: Valid teaching credentials with certification in Deaf and Hard of Hearing education or a closely related field. Experience working with K-12 students who are deaf or hard of hearing. Strong knowledge of communication methods such as American Sign Language (ASL), lip-reading, and auditory-verbal techniques. Ability to design and deliver curriculum modifications and accommodations. Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, families, and school personnel.
